Nancy has been stitching, knitting
and doing creative art since childhood. Her art took a wild turn
twenty years ago when she discovered stitching with seed beads.
Within a few years, jewelry making dominated most of her free
time.
Nancy is always trying out new
projects. She has the ability to see a design from the inside
out and frequently devises an easier way than the directions
provide to complete a project. She is completely enamored with
seed beads and is never afraid to tackle new techniques taking
design and beading to a higher level. She loves using various
sizes, shapes, colors, and kinds of beads as well as little
embellishments to add depth to projects.
Nancy, a regular instructor at
the bead chick with many years’ teaching experience,
delights in helping students find self-expression believing that
beading has a unique way of captivating the imagination and
inspiring the artist within. Her patient teaching style is very
relaxed, and she gently challenges her students to stretch and
work outside their beading comfort zone.
Nancy is thankful that beading
has been a creative outlet, a way to make new friends, and to
stimulate her mind. She loves sharing all she has learned
through teaching. Her goal as a teacher is to create a fun and
successful learning experience.
